Shadowdark, Call of Cthulhu, D&D 5E, Dracula, Elder Scrolls Online, Iron Maiden
With family around (coming from Arizona to the hottness of France!), my schedule was a bit light on RPGs towards the end of the month, but I still managed to fit in four sessions in June!
What’s new at my gaming table?
The Rise of the Drow campaign for D&D 5E (2014) continues, with the party still on the trail of the villagers abducted by the dark elves. We only managed to play one session this month.
I took part in a session but missed the next (and last) conclusion of the Call of Cthulhu mini-campaign due to family commitments. However, my character survived—which is an achievement in itself!
I also managed to run two sessions of my open-table Shadowdark game. In the first, I had seven players from my Discord server —a personal record. As a result, the group was able to “clear out” the goblin lair that had been “waiting for them” for ages. In the second session, I had only two players; the atmosphere was less combat-focused, and the session was dedicated to gathering information and preparing for future expeditions!

Readings
Still in the Elric series, I’ve finished Volume 5 of the saga, The Sleeping Sorceress (or The Vanishing Tower?). And I’m currently deep into a great classic— Dracula —in a beautiful collector’s edition.
Movies/series
I started the series Peaky Blinders, but it didn’t hook me, so I’ve put it on hold for now.
Music
It had been forty years since I last saw Iron Maiden in concert—in Lyon, France or anywhere else! Yes, i’m that old! I braved the hellish, scorching heat of that cursed heatwave just to go see some old timers keeping the electric spirit alive! Up the Irons!
Video Games
After spending some time with Guild Wars 2, I have to admit the game’s aesthetic didn’t really appeal to me; so, when I saw a huge sale on Elder Scrolls Online, I decided to pick it up and really dive into it. It’s much better! And of course, as a former Skyrim player, I’m spotting plenty of clear nods to that game.
Creations, tips, shop…
Work on Book 2 of my fantasy universe continues with its weekly post, as does my Patreon page, featuring old-school/OSR dungeon maps—often accompanied by short scenarios.
This month, I published Dungeons of the Dark Wizard, Lair of the Bat Lord, Secret Cave Lair and The Sanctum of the Water Queen!
Some of my stuff is also on RPG Trader, a new marketplace that had a huge bundle for Free RPG Day so you can find me there if you want (and I’ll recommand to check what my friend Raznag does too!).
