#050 - september 2025 TTRPG newsletter
Pathfinder 2E, Shadowdark, Alien Earth, Yellowstone
What's new at my gaming table?
September marks the end of the holidays and the return to the daily grind, so we were able to play three games with the brave explorers of my Discord.
In Shadowdark, players at the open table located in the kingdom of Kalendir continue to explore a dungeon occupied by goblins. Given the significant adversity they face, the most outlandish strategies are being discussed (and sometimes implemented!), and we will soon see if they bear fruit...
We also return to the Abomination Vaults in Pathfinder 2E with the arrival of a new player for this second year of play, and the exploration of the fourth level continues. Gruelling and gory battles continue to mark this adventure.

As always, my posts are written in french but your browser may propose to translate them
I’ve been quite busy getting back to work, the real kind that pays for ttpg books, so I haven’t been very ‘productive’ when it comes to blog posts. The PF2 campaign reports continue, even if they don’t get many readers, but never mind, I want to keep track of these adventures and share them.
I have also described the main features of the Hexroll website, a great online resource for OSR games in particular, so I highly recommend it for creating a campaign or simply gathering some ideas.

Readings and inspirations
Readings: I have just finished volume 9 of Malazan Book of the Fallen, Dust of Dreams, which kept me busy throughout September with its 1,000 pages. Unsurprisingly, I will be moving on to the final volume 10 of Steven Erikson’s saga, expecting it to be my one and only book in October.
Films & Series: I finally finished watching the entire first season of Alien Earth on Disney+. It had potential, with a few changes from the films in the saga and the arrival of the xenomorphs on Earth. Unfortunately, the series is weighed down by a sloppy script and characters whose words and behaviour are inconsistent. In a completely different genre, I started watching the series Yellowstone, but first I began with its prequel, the excellent mini-series 1883, which I loved. It reminds me that one day I’d like to do a role-playing game in a Western setting, but with tentacles? One day...
Creations, tips, shop…
I haven’t really made any progress on the Monastery of the Howling Moon, so there’s not much to say, and at the moment, I’ve lost some of my enthusiasm for creating new stuff, so this activity is on hold for now. I even thought of doing something special for this 50th ‘anniversary’ letter but I didn’t. Last month, I asked for feedback but had almost none so maybe it is the end of this newsletter, time will tell.
My creations are on DriveThruRPG and/or my Ko-fi shop.
