Pathfinder 2E, Shadowdark…
What's new at my gaming table?
The party progresses through the second level of Pathfinder 2E's Abomination Vaults. Corridors and doors follow one another, but there are also strange creatures, such as a doll animated by a gem or a giant skeleton - quickly defeated. The trick is not to get lost in this labyrinth populated by deadly morlocks! We played two sessions this month.
The discovery of Shadowdark continues, with a single game in March, which was the continuation (but not the end!) of the exploration of a tomb populated with traps - and a giant snake! The group then decided to make a strategic retreat to the nearest village.
After discussion with players on my Discord, I've decided to launch an Open Table, still with the Shadowdark system, with more or less independent sessions: the group is not always the same, but the world is persistent. The aim is to explore a small region with many points of interest to visit. I've already mentioned my experience of this type of game before (with D&D), and I hope that this time, with other players and a different management style, things will be a little different.
Latest articles published on the blog
As always, my posts are written in french but your browser may propose to translate them
Being quite busy professionally at the moment, I don't have much time to write articles, so activity on the blog has been reduced this month. One article deals with Hexcrawl with some thoughts and hints on not just crossing a region, but exploring it in detail, which I don't always feel is well covered by ttrpgs’ rules.
The second article reports on the beginnings of our current Pathfinder 2E campaign. This time, it's the end of the Menace under Otari adventure, from the game's beginners box, that is told. I'm trying not to let too much time go by before recounting these adventures, while keeping the campaign moving forward!
Readings and inspirations
Readings: nothing this month!
Films & Series: I watched the Conan movie with Jason Momoa, who may be likeable but quickly shows his limitations as an actor, unable to content himself with frowning like Khal Drogo. Barely worthy of an afternoon movie on cable tv, the story's a slog and the sets dingy, so skip it or, better still, watch the real Conan with Schwarzie again!
In a radically different genre, I watched the first season of the Mad Men series, set in the advertising world of the 1960s USA!

Publications of the month
I'm not creating anything at the moment, due to a lack of time and motivation, but I've decided to switch many of my creations to Pay What You Want, so they're potentially free! And I stopped my Patreon page.
