After issue 42.2 which was a bonus one (hope you read and liked it!) back to normal with the february recap.
Pathfinder 2E, Shadowdark, solo ttrpg…
What's new at my gaming table?
Using the Pathfinder 2E system, we're making progress in the first level of the Abomination Vaults. This month's session (the others having been canceled for scheduling reasons) enabled the group to make progress and meet the mitflit leader, who (alas for him) was the victim of a facial offense as he took an arrow in its face!
The month was the one of Shadowdark. I played two solo games, which led me to select rules for creating a dungeon and exploring outdoor areas. The duo of adventurers I've put together evolve in my world of Kalendir, the one in the Western Marches where I did a campaign some years ago, but far from there geographically. Then, with three players from my ttrpg Discord, we were able to play the full rules and started exploring a tomb full of traps and monsters. We're discovering or fine-tuning the rules in a rather old-school adventure atmosphere that's fun for the GM - and stressful for the adventurers!
Latest articles published on the blog
As always, my posts are written in french but your browser may propose to translate them
Shadowdark again with an article on the free Quickstart, which can be enough to play for quite a long time, especially if you have other content (OSR, OSR, DCC, B/X-BECMI, AD&D) that's easily compatible.
Still in the old school style, The Grey Grimoire is a magazine dedicated to Greyhawk and complementary to Visions of Greyhawk, which contains ideas and inspiration for this campaign world, revived in D&D 5.2024's Dungeon Master's Guide. So I read and reviewed issue 4.
The expedition to the Underdark is drawing to a close, as I've finished module D3 Vault of the Drow, where the adventurers arrive at the home of the dark elves - who, at the time, are evil and should remain so, but that's another debate^^. One more adventure (module Q1) and the saga will be over.
Last but not least, I've opened a french-speaking forum! It complements the Discord and social networks. I was partly inspired by the amazing Yum DM, creator of the d12 Monthly magazine and his forum where you can find me too, but this time writing in english!
Readings and inspirations
Readings: I dedicated some time to finish Reaper's Gale, the 7th volume in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. It was a reread and I’ll start volume 8 soon but before, I’ll read one or two other books.
Films & Series: only one film, Solomon Kane: freely adapted from R.E. Howard, a movie that focuses on the hero's religious side, but piles up the most incoherent and inane adventures while giving itself great airs. It's a pity, but it gives me a reminder that I should read the original stories.

Publications of the month
No publication this month, I'm making slow progress on the creation of an ettercaps’ lair (or web lurkers in Pathfinder 2 words!) but I'm also wondering about the point and ways of continuing.
Projects in progress
So I'm going to finish this little dungeon and then I'll see what I do (or not!).
