Pathfinder, ttrpg readings, Malazan books…
What's new at my gaming table?
For roleplaying, the month of September was devoted to Pathfinder 2E, as I mastered the Beginner Box as a prologue to adventures in Otari, a quiet little coastal village (or not!). The group, made up of a champion, a barbarian, a druid and a rogue, explores the (well-populated!) basements of a small fishery.
It was an opportunity for us to discover the game system and its subtleties and differences from PF1, which some of us already knew, or D&D5, which I had mastered, and one of whose current players was already suffering my wrath. An alternation of trivial and spicy battles blows hot and cold on adventurers! We've managed to squeeze in 3 games this month, but alas, there will be less games in October due to busy schedules.

Three inspirational articles were on the blog menu this month (follow the links to find them). An old adventure (but one that's still very much in vogue, as it's regularly re-released by the publisher): G1 - Steading of the Hill Giant Chief. A classic that inaugurates a long series of modules, the mythical G-D-Q, which I plan to read and blog about.
Magazines, with an old one like Dungeon Magazine 69 or a more recent one like d12 Monthly issue 37, two sources of inspiration where we always find something interesting to retain and adapt.
Readings and inspirations
By the way, I regret the disappearance of the French-language magazine Casus Belli, now in its fourth incarnation, which will have lasted 50 issues, as this will be the end of the series. Ironically, I recently re-read the first issue and wrote about it. It's not easy being a print medium, and a niche one at that, in the age of the internet and apparently free information. I'm not optimistic about a possible relaunch, because if the biggest player in the field can't do it, who can? I wasn't much of a follower of the magazine, not always being a fan of its editorial line or the “filler” of the scenarios, but I at least bought the pdf. Too bad, I still have fond memories of V1, which I collected when I first started ttrpg. R.I.P.
Readings: I'm finishing volume 5 of Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen: Midnight Tides, a reread since I read it two and a half years ago. Two more volumes and I'll be moving on to new material.
TV series: it was time to catch up a little, so I devoured season 2 of House of the Dragon, which I enjoyed despite a few minor drawbacks. And in a completely different style, season 1 of Terminator Zero, an anime set in the mythical universe of Skynet, which was rather pleasant despite a setting that leave little room for originality.
Video games: I restarted Pathfinder Kingmaker, which I'd given up on loosely a while back, so I started from scratch (at the same time, I wasn't far behind, so it wasn't much of a loss). Now that I'm playing PF2, I recognize certain terms better, even though the game is based on the first edition.

Publications of the month
I regularly give away my program on my Patreon page, and this month I've had fairly little time to finalize my projects, let alone create new ones.
I've published The Crypt of the Deep God, a One Page Dungeon with an isometric map, for a change. Here's the DriveThruRPG link.
Current projects
still two One Page Dungeons: an ‘old school’ blue map and one based on the cover of the AD&D PHB!
a collection of NPCs for D&D campaigns around Phandaline
a long term project to revamp my megadungeon
