And here's this month's news!
What's new at my gaming table?
No game this month. Indeed, I was thinking of starting a preamble to the Pathfinder 2E campaign, but the Scheduling Gods interfered and the beginning of the vacations here in France complicated matters. I had probably been over-optimistic in wanting to launch something during this period, and I didn't have the motivation to come up with a few one-shots of other systems in the meanwhile.
As a result, I did one or two solo games with the Cairn system, but nothing very advanced. So it was reading ttrpg stuff and creating content that took center stage this month. I also read up on (simple) skirmish rules, in particular Age of Fantasy, basically a wargame for less than 20 units per opponent to conduct small narrative battles linked to my personal fantasy universe.
Latest articles published on the blog
As always, my posts are written in french but your browser may propose to translate them
Not much new on the blog, I'm a bit out of ideas so I only did a post on 5 Room Dungeons which allow you to create mini-adventures by varying the different elements.
Readings and inspirations
Readings: I’m slowly rereading the third Book of the Fallen volume, Memories of Ice, by Steven Erikson and read Bifrost #113, a french quaterly scifi magazine, this issue being on Artificial Intelligence.
While issue 3 of Visions of Greyhawk has just been released, I read the previous issue (available for free here). Volume 2 is dense:
an article on the giants of the Flanaess and their arrival on Oerth, as well as their geographical distribution
magical objects related to the sea
an article on the Rhennee, nomads living on the water's edge
horse breed suggestions for Greyhawk
a long description of the Low Road, an underground route linking certain dwarf cities (in the Lortmil Mountains, between Ulek and Veluna) - which gives me ideas for a project...
the clergy of the demigod Saint Benedor
adapting Specialty Priests to the OSE system
5E block stats for servants of Incabulos, an evil god
a level 3-6 AD&D adventure (for 5 to 8 characters!) that isn't very interesting
how to adapt classic adventures to a more recent historical period (according to Greyhawk's chronology, of course)
heraldic symbols for several Powers (heroes and demigods)
A very interesting issue, it just lacks a little introduction to each article and the mention of the relevant D&D edition when that's the case. And it agian motivates me for a little campaign in this universe (with AD&D ?).
TV series: I unenthusiastically finished season 6 of Black Mirror and have written a short review which will appear (elsewhere) shortly. In short, it's not good!

For the summer, I've launched a bundle of my first two years of battlemap creations on DrivethruRPG: some thirty in all!
Current projects
a new battlemap: Wizard's Tower with 4 floors
some NPCs for D&D campaigns around Phandalin
I've been hard at work updating my mega-dungeon for publication in a single volume at the end of the year, and I've already planned three extra levels!
