After a rather quiet January, a frenzy of games took place in February, with no less than 4 game sessions!
What's new at my gaming table?
On the "Donjons & Tentacules" Discord, tavern-keeper Onos proposed a discovery of Delta Green with a scenario that spanned 3 sessions, and then we embarked on a mini-campaign of which we played the first episode. Delta Green is derived from Call of Cthulhu, itself derived from Basic RPG, and if you'd like to find out more about this game, which will soon be available in French, check out these comprehensive articles by Onos on his blog: presentation, Agent's Handbook and the review of Operation Fulminate, where I played FBI Agent Sanchez. It's nice (and relaxing!) to be a player and to switch universes for contemporary occult-horror-fantasy, easy enough to grasp especially when you know CoC (and X-Files!).
Latest articles published on the blog
As always, my posts are written in french but there is a translation widget on the blog
First of all, I celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons with a nostalgic article about my early days with D&D (and soon AD&D) and the RPG in general. Then I talked about a caves generator, but also forests and glades, which I used to create a One Page Dungeon entitled Caves of Chaos (crawling chaos, even, if you like!) - yet to translate in english if there is some demand. So three articles in February.
Readings and inspirations
Reading: I started the month by finishing Vincent Mondiot's Les rues de Mirinèce (with an atypical magic as it is about mirrors). In a completely different style, I read Le chant des géants by David Bry. A dark tale about the conflict between two brothers, but also about the gods who shape this universe through their dreams. And I really enjoyed it, unlike Lucius Shepard's Dog-Eared Paperback of My Life, whose tribulations in Asia disappointed me despite a good initial idea.
I'm behind with my D12 Monthly issues, but I've read issue 27, devoted to random encounters, with lots of useful resources for fantasy RPGs. It also talks about dice roll statistics and combinations, and features an interview with the creator of the Tales of the Manticore podcast.
Video games: I played mainly Assassin's Creed Origins, with difficult quests to complete, hostages to rescue, forts to attack, normal stuff!
TV series: in Fantasy and scifi in particular, I've started the sixth and final season of The Expanse (which has also been adapted into a TTRPG). I'm picking up a few ideas for Traveller.
Note that the well-known map-drawing site Inkarnate has released assets for science fiction! It's still in closed beta, but I'll be able to make maps for my future SF games.

Publications of the month
I've been busy this month, publishing the Alchemist Workshop battlemap, starting a new series of Lovecraftian maps (for Call of Cthulhu, for example) called Eldritch Maps with a first map entitled Haunted House, and making the Caves of Chaos One-Page Dungeon available to all (french only atm). Not bad, eh?
