Exceptionally, this letter is going to be short, as I've moved house this month, and my role-playing activity has been very (very) quiet!
Latest articles published on the blog
As always, my posts are written in french but there is a translation widget on the blog
I did publish two articles on my blog, though. The first one has been on hold for a while, as I'm slowly preparing a small campaign in the World of Greyhawk, so I've been reading up quite a bit on this "historical" D&D universe. I haven't made as much progress as I'd like on the adventures for my future players to experience, but I've got a pretty good idea of the timeline and locations where they'll take place (and the rules to use!). To be continued...
The second article is dedicated to my current D&D 5E campaign, which is about to come to an end. A look back at past sessions, including exploration of the notorious Lost Mine of Phandelver. Blood and tears are on the agenda!
As a result, levels 7 and 8 of my megadungeon (#Dungeon23) will have to wait, even though the maps are drawn and they're partially described in my drafts.
What's new at my gaming table?
No game this month, because between everyone's vacations, plus my move, it hasn't been possible to plan anything. And I also admit that my mind was elsewhere (more precisely, in the middle of packing!).
Readings and inspirations
I haven't really been reading any rpg books or stuff this month, but I have been reading comics, in particular the three volumes of Blade Runner 2029, in the universe of the films. My review is online here. I don't plan to play cyberpunk or even the dedicated RPG but reading this saga is enjoyable. While I also continued (and finished) Marvel's Dark Avengers saga (which followed the Thunderbolts), it's over there. I have a more mixed opinion about it! Finally, I've started the Thor series (2020), which isn't as good as Aaron's run, but since I'm a fan of the character, I'm indulgent...
I also read a guide about Stephen King, which reminded me of the time when I used to read this author regularly, before turning away. I've picked out a few ideas for books to discover.
Creations, tips, shop…
