Latest articles published on the blog
I've published three articles this month, starting with a review of my ongoing campaign for D&D, Adventures in Phandaline, with sessions 13-17. There is a fight with a green dragon, the damn Gundren is finally found and we're finally on our way to the famous Lost Mine.
Moreover, I analyzed the map of this one in the second article of the month, trying to schematize it. This way you can clearly see the flow of exploration and I find that drawing a plan in this way, before detailing it and then clarifying it, is a good exercise.
After that I shared The Necropolis of the Krâal Pass, an adventure I wrote as part of a jam for the Cairn ttrpg, but which can easily be adapted for other medfan games - you’ll just have to change the stats of the opponents. It kept me busy and I was beginning to wonder if I was going to finish on time. Fortunately, my friend Raznag was there for collective motivation (check out his adventure too!).
In July, I am of course planning an article on Dungeon23 and it will be the level 6 composed of 45 rooms, caverns and caves, which has also given me work since I try not to make it too monotonous ! I should also talk a bit about Cthulhu, Greyhawk and Middle-Earth!
What's new at my gaming table?
The Adventures in Phandaline campaign for D&D is nearing its end and the party has now explored the four elemental temples (or almost…). Can they stop the evil cults from wreaking havoc? Or will they perish trying? We’ll see…
We played two sessions this month and are going to start the 65th of the campaign, which is a record for me!
Without playing it directly, I immersed myself in the rules of Cairn to write my scenario, and I think to propose a game of it on my Discord one of these days.
Readings and inspirations
I am nearing the end of the Black Company series of books, since I have read the two volumes of Water Sleeps (volumes 10 and 11 out of 13 in french) and I have started the first part of Soldiers Live which is volume 12.
On the comics side, I'm going back in time with a run on Marvel's Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers, I talk about it on my dedicated blog and it's fun to re-read episodes dating from 2010, the year I came back to comics!
Since I am immersed in Greyhawk, I take this opportunity to share the release of a free amateur magazine based on this universe, Visions of Greyhawk, from the Canonfire reference site. Lots of content to pick up for this universe (or others of course): history, kingdom management rules, monsters, wildlife, magic items, new gods... You can download it here.
Movies and TV series
I only watched the movie Black Adam which features an anti-Shazam, I will soon write an article about it but spoilers ahead: it's not great!
Video games
Nothing to report this month, I just played a little of Icewind Dale without progressing too much. But I was able to recover Neverwinter and Baldur's Gate II which I played a long time ago and where I would like to return! One day…

Publications of the month
As said above, I published a free adventure for Cairn but which can easily be adapted to other role-playing games. You can find it on itch.io where it is available for free, both in french and in english.
I took a battlemap out of it a battlemap, The Island of the Forgotten Hero, and my supporters on Ko-fi got it first before I publish it very soon for free in my shops.
Work in progress
Like last month, I am late as June passed very quickly, especially since I had family for a week and I mainly focused on the adventure for Cairn (see above).
My provisional program consists of a new adventure and a supplement for Phandalin, as well as a battlemap or two.
