And here is a little recap of this period of end of vacations, for me, and back to work.
Latest articles published on the blog
Wizards of the Coast made a long presentation about Magic but also, and especially for me, about D&D. I made an article summarizing what I found interesting and what I plan to play at the end of the year and in 2023: read this article!
Not surprisingly, if you follow my blog and my (old) videos, there will be Dragonlance in my games!
I continue the reports of my little campaign in Middle-Earth, as a prologue to the book Eriador Adventures (still waiting for production at EDGE France because of the paper shortage...). This time, the fellowship went to the east of Weathertop, at Agamaur, the swamp of the dead.
I am now preparing a game aid to populate a campaign world with quick random tables.
What's new at my gaming table?
Cryovain is (finally!) dead! This is the main event of my D&D campaign, Adventures in Phandalin, because the white dragon that ravaged the region is now history! However, the dangers remain and a small group of bandits have tricked the adventurers (now level 7) which leads them to seek revenge...
Two play sessions for Adventures in Eriador and apprentice heroes (level 5) who have nightmares... in Angmar! A grueling journey through cold, snow, and fear on the trail of goblins who have kidnapped children.
Readings and inspirations
Outside of role-playing games, I stroll through a Star Wars novel (Ronin) and peck away - as always - at HP Lovecraft's Dreamlands.
On the RPG side, I'm diving back into my low fantasy campaign project with rules inspired by Chaosium's Basic RPG. After doing a homebrew mix, I may finally play with Mythras rules. Plus, the basic rules (Mythras Imperative) are free. To be continued...
Patreon, tips, shop…
I continue with my series of battlemaps and added 3 more since last newsletter!
The last one will also be used in a One Page Dungeon (to be released in the next weeks). You can send me ideas if you would like to see a specific map made!
I’m also working on a supplement for D&D about the small town of Phandalin and have ideas for two more…
